Creating Spiritual Goals for 2023
Today is January 1st, 2023.
Happy New Year. Hopefully, you had a lovely sendoff to 2022.
I don’t know about you. I’m glad 2022 is gone, and I’m looking forward to today and every day moving forward as we kickstart 2023.
Today we discuss a simple process to help you create 2023 as your best year. But what the heck does that mean?
Step 1: Identify Your Need & Wants
The first step in creating Spiritual Goals for 2023 is identifying your needs and wants.
Your best year ever means something different to each of us, and today we create Spiritual Goals for 2023 that will help you make it from where we are right now and experience by the end of the year that you’ve had the best year of your life.
It starts with identifying and writing down what you need and want.
And I don’t know about you. Most of my needs and most of my wants seem far away. But, as we evolve spiritually, living life in the present moment, your needs and wants to become almost the same.
- Write down wanting/needing to lose 20 pounds.
- Do you need a new car, write it down?
- Do you need a new job?
- Do you need a spouse, or new spouse?
- Do you need or want money, money, money, money, maybe some more money?
- Do you need peace of mind?
- Do you need to become a better psychic?
- Do you want to have better health and well-being?
Whatever it is you want that you feel will make your life better, write it down.
And then, we will go through a simple process to help you start beginning to attract, manifest, and materialize those results in your life.
The next step, once you get everything written down, I need, I want to lose 20 pounds. I want a new car. I want a new job. I want money, money, money, money. I want whatever there is. Write it all down.
The Magic of Beingness
Now we need to convert those wants to a half. So if you need a new car, what kind of car? Get a picture of it. Know the model. Know the. Know exactly what you want so you can see it in your mind—eye on demand. I want a new car, and a specific type of car shows up in your vision.
I want 20 pounds less. And see the scale when you’re standing on it, showing the correct number you want. I want more money.
Well, do you want more money in your paycheck?
Do you want more money in your savings account?
Do you want more money from your business revenue? So be very specific about what you want to have as a have, and they have should be something tangible in the real world that if you pointed to it on December 31st, 2023, someone to say, yep, you got that.
So once all your needs and wants are converted to halves. You have a list of hats. Now we will transform all of those haves into an experience of being.
When you have what it is you want, you want a new car. You know the type of car. You could point to it in your driveway on December 31st or whenever it shows up this year.
What is your experience?
What’s your way of being, having that car in your driveway, driving along with your best friend inside that car?
What do you feel like?
What’s the experience?
What’s the way of being or you being satisfied? Are you being accomplished? Are you being proud? Are you relieved that you’ve got the security of a new car? So whatever way of representing the experience of having what you want is where we want to focus.
So spiritual goals, spirituality happens in the realm of beingness within each domain.
A way of being is energy.
So energy without a lot of work doesn’t manifest in the world, but the experience of that energy is real. So that’s the realm we’re going to operate in during 2023. So to create effortless results to have what you want by the end of the year, we’re going to start. So you have to have two assignments from today.
Now, when I say that, you’re either going to say, yay, assignments, I love to journal, or you’re going to say, no, no, you can’t make me. I hated this shit doesn’t work.
Whatever you say, I want you to notice what you’re saying because that thing you just did when you heard me tell you you’re going to have two assignments is what stands between you and having what you want.
Spiritual Goals for 2023: Assignment 1
Create a page in your journal on December 31st, 2023. You’re going to look at all the haves on your list and for each have, you’re going to create an entry in this one journal. I have an ideal body weight, and I feel healthy. I. The money I want in my retirement account, my paycheck, and my business revenue.
And I feel accomplished. I feel proud. I feel prosperous. I feel independent. So you’re going to take each half, and you’re going to look at it, and you’re going to imagine yourself. You’re going to visualize yourself. So you’ll know yourself in the future, having that in your life. And you can point to a friend and say, there it is.
And they go, yep, it’s there. How does that make you feel when they go? Yes, it’s there. That’s the feeling. That’s the way of being. We want to capture. That’s the context for every action you take during the year. So that’s what we’re looking for. So assignment one, December 31st, 2023. Every half converted into a habit.
And this way doesn’t have to be perfect. You’ll have a provisional feeling, but you want to have someplace to start. And the place we’re going to start making the best year in 2023 is to have yourself look at the last day of the year, having accomplished what you want to feel and experience what it’s like.
Spiritual Goals for 2023: Assignment 2
Assignment two, you’re going to take all the stuff you just wrote in your December year-end journal entry, and you’re going to prioritize it in the order of what is causing the most stress, the most depression, the most frustration in life.
What’s sucking the most energy out of you in life right now? And you’re going to pick three or four of those, and you’re going to create that as your January list of projects.
That’s where you’re going to start. You’re going to start by eliminating whatever is causing the most crap in your life at the beginning of the year.
How can you manage that health concern if it’s a health concern? Is it a weight loss concern? Is it a job concern? Is it a financial concern?
What is causing you the most stress?
And you’re going to write that down on your piece of paper, and you’re going to ask yourself one question about each of those top three or four things causing you the most distraction in your life. Is there anything I can do about it? Now, if the answer’s no, you’re going to put it in the future.
If the answer is yes, you’ll see if that’s the most effective thing you can do to make you free up some space. And you’re going to take the two or three things you can work on during January that will free up the most space.
And you’re going to create a January month, end journal entry, January 31st, 2023.
I have blah, blah, blah. I have blah, blah, blah. I have blah, blah, blah. And I feel, and you’re going to take this from the. Deeper, deeper from what you wrote down by having that interim goal or the big goal in December 2023. And you’re going to use that as your plan for making 2023 your best year.
So you’ve got a year-end journal entry, you’ve got a month-end journal entry, and you’ve got all the stuff you’re going to get done, done. Now how do we make it accurate?
Because you’ve done a lot of planning, you’ve done a lot of writing, you’ve done a lot of journaling, and I don’t know about you, but some of it hadn’t worked very well, because I know that for me, excellent ideas, somewhat poor execution.
zen Results – the 3Rs Ritual
So here’s how we’re going to do that. We’re going to create a ritual around the three Rs. You may have heard this before, but I’ve never perceived it as a ritual. A friend of mine told me that she listened to a Buddhist monk talking about the difference between habits, routines, and traditions. And I pondered this for the last three, four weeks.
And I came up with this thing of what’s the difference between a routine and a ritual? What’s the difference between a habit and a ritual? Habits I’ve always disliked these because habits are unconscious routines.
I never like them, because they get boring. But a ritual is something you consciously create an experience at the moment to fulfill some intention, a conscious way of creating an incident at the moment to complete your intention.
So, you know the first part, we just did it a few minutes ago. We did the proper meditation. Ten minutes, twice a day, you’re going to enter the storm’s eye. Once you’re in the eye of the storm, we’re going to do some Right thought, Right thinking. That’s where the ritual is. That’s where the magic happens.
That’s where you create your future to be accurate. The last one is writing action. You’re going to do whatever you decide to do in the right thought part, and you’re going to do it.
Then you’ll repeat every day, every week, every month. You’re going to create a 10 in five to 10 minutes daily consciously. Your day, your actions.
Right Thoughts Enliven Your Spiritual Goals for 2023
The purpose of Right Thought is to create an actionable decision. So right thought inside the eye of the storm. So you’re being informed by your spirit, not by your lust and desires and wants and all the demands of the world, but you’re in that quiet, serene place. You can hear your spirit self.
Think not yourself. Think your spirit. Think this beauty starts to percolate up in there. Yeah, you can do this. And when you do that, you’re going to feel accomplished.
You’re going to feel happy. You’re going to feel vindicated. You’re going to feel justified. Whatever the feeling is, it doesn’t matter the feeling. Just get excited about it.
So you’ll connect through Right Thought in the eye of the storm to your spirit. Next, you’re going to come up with an actionable decision on one of the things that cost you the most stress in your life.
Then, finally, you’re going to start to see measurable results. So if you want to lose 20 pounds, you have to step on the scale to see if you are up or down on your goal to lose 20 pounds.
Now, here’s the part that is an essential aspect that thwarts us, that stops us. Sometimes we experience what I have grown to call divine procrastination. Do you know what it is you want? You see how to get it with your psychic and your physical eyes. You read the books and learn how other people have done it, but something is in your way.
Does something need to be fixed? Something is blocking. And you can’t put your finger on it. That’s a blind spot. That’s what’s hidden in your background. That stops you, preventing you from your past, from creating the future you want.
So this divine procrastination, if it starts to happen, gets identified and resolved in the eye of the storm.
So you’ve done your meditation, sitting quietly, and doing your journal saying, ” Okay, this, this one thing about this last three pounds I need to lose is driving me crazy. And then you see that you get a feeling and you have an experience that you still need to adjust your diet or exercise just enough to drop that last three pounds.
And then this insight happened, this blinding flash of the obvious, this spiritual knowing starts to bubble up from your spirit-self while you’re in the eye of the storm. And you see why you have yet to be successful. So then, suddenly, you find the money you need, the partner you need, the diet you need, or the recipe you need.
And bam, this divine procrastination goes away because it’s inspired by spirit, not informed by your mind and your thinking mind and the world and all that stuff you see on the internet. And once you do that, you say, okay, my actionable decision today is to take this one thing out of my diet for the next three days and see what happens if I can drop that last three pounds.
Now here’s the fun part. You’re going to say, okay, lefty, okay, righty. This is what I’m going to do. This is what I’m up to today. You’re welcome to help me any way you want to, and then be quiet and see what they say. They may give you a little pointer. They may start to, suddenly, you’re driving in the car, and suddenly you see this little sign flashing in a little, little bitty strip mall somewhere, and it’s just flashing as bright as ever.
You have been driven by it a thousand times, never seen it. But, it’s a little bit brighter today, and you say, the solution to my problem here. And it feels different. It’s not a shiny object. It’s just something different. And you go in there, and sure enough, you find the solution you need because you’ve gotten beyond the blind spot, beyond the divine procrastination.
You’ve been informed by spirit, whether it’s your spirit self, your spirit guides, teachers, or your E. S. P., to get the solution to the problem you want. So the actionable decision you are acting upon getting the results you want. That’s it.
If you do that 365 times during 2023, create that fulfillment of your December 31st journal entry, and consciously make an actionable decision, starting with what’s bothering you the most, what’s taking up the most space? When we meet here at the end of the year,
With no hesitation, you will most assuredly have that this was my best year ever. But, regardless of what you accomplished, you consciously planned and created your experience of every day this year.
My highest blessings.
