What is Spiritual Purpose?
When we chose the body for our current incarnation, we had specific lessons / experiences in mind.
Typically we incarnate to experience 3 or so spiritual lessons. Most of the time, it’s giving and receiving love unconditionally.
For this example, we’ll use a 10,000-piece picture puzzle of the Grand Canyon. On spirit side, we see the picture on the box and feel compelled to experience it personally.
Human personal experiences are the puzzle pieces. Our Spirit evolves by finding (experiencing) all the puzzle pieces and, through these experiences, reconnects us to our place in the Universe.
We choose to incarnate to find the puzzle pieces (experiences) that fill the gaps in our awareness.
Spiritual Purpose is the fulfillment of your Spirit’s Intent to reach individual, personal Spiritual Perfection or Nirvana.
Connecting with Your Spiritual Purpose
Our personal Spiritual Purpose is to find the puzzle pieces (experiences) that fulfill our Spirit’s Intent and live long enough to experience what we came here to learn. In other words, find the pieces to our puzzle.
To accomplish this, we need a body. Your Spirit inhabits a fetus at the end of the first trimester. From that moment on, your Spirit takes on a physical body with its frailties and limitations.
Most of our lessons (puzzle pieces) require us to be adults. We must survive 20, 30, or maybe 40 years before creating the circumstances needed to learn what we incarnate to experience.
Note: Waking up one day to realize your current life path will NOT fulfill your Spirit’s Intent has caused many a mid-life crisis. Many call this a “dark night of the soul.”
Your Right Path
Please understand, if you are here, on this side, in a physical body, you’re on your proper path, working to fulfill your spirituał Purpose.
Making this question relevant, “Are you purposeful in its fulfillment?”
Why am I here?
- You’re here to learn in discovery.
- You’re here to experience.
- You’re here to give and receive love and understand every aspect of that.
- You’re also here to find fulfillment. But fulfillment, not as a strategy.
When you ponder Who you are: a body, mind, and Spirit, you are I AM.
Why I’m here.
- To accept me exactly the way I am and exactly the way I’m not.
- To be me unapologetically.
This is what I learned from my Spirit, guides, and teachers.
Regardless of my mistakes, no matter how hard or unloving I was to myself, my spirit guides and teachers always loved and accepted me. Even though they recognize the mistakes I’m about to make; they lovingly support me in whatever I do.
So as I allowed myself to accept the person they accept, I became more authentic in my expression of who I am. I know I’m here to experience love and every aspect of it.
Now, here’s the part where things get interesting.
Where am I going?
I’m the Stoic Medium. Momento Mori (” remember that you will die”) is a stoic virtue that has us embrace and consider the death of our physical body.
The Samurai did this, waking up every day prepared to cross over. As a Spiritualist Minister, Memento Mori is real, knowing my consciousness and spiritual essence will survive my body.
One day, I will wake up on the other side, my mind, my consciousness. Everything I learned will continue after this physical shell is gone. I lost any fear and worry, and concern about dying. The only thing I had to do was learn how to live. And I had to make course corrections as a spiritual being, learning to love and accept myself unconditionally so I could live life fully.
An exciting thing happened. I began to embrace the fact that this entity that looked at himself in the mirror every morning must not be too bad. As a result, I started attracting different types of people into my life.
Ultimately, after I learned this about 20 years ago, it took me a few years to figure out how to recognize others who saw me the same way my spirit guides and teachers did. I attracted my wife. We were married a few months later, and in 2004 we became a couple.
It took me 5 years of experiencing her unconditional love to trust it. Finally, after 5 years, I trusted Amy’s love as unconditional love. 5 years after that, I made the most significant decision of my life: to do what I had to do, even though there was no agreement and it wasn’t popular to become ordained.
By 1990 I knew I wanted to be ordained a spiritualist minister. In 2014 I was ordained.
To get ordained, I had to filter through all the crap in my head about being a spiritualist minister, about understanding who I am, why I am, why I’m here, and where
I took the risk to do the work, became an ordained minister, and trusted that my wife supported that decision.
She did, and it was only through her unconditional love and acceptance that I learned how to trust myself enough to take steps to fulfill the destination of my journey.
I did so for the highest and best good of everyone else. I was serving. It just felt right and rang true.
Your Spirit’s Intent
As you develop this internal GPS, your inner guidance system allows you to take each step consciously, knowing exactly where that step will lead, and never be surprised; you start to become fully engaged in life.
That’s where I was in 2014 when I was ordained.
The process of rediscovering my spirit-self and dwelling in the eye of the storm, still and knowing, allows me to live life purposefully, intentionally, on my terms, with the experience of freedom with power.
Expressing myself without reservation attracts like minds and kindred spirits to walk alongside me in this life.
Take note. You found your way here at this moment in time with us today. I graciously welcome your presence.
Finally, I get where you’re at and what you want to experience. I have experienced many similar things.
However, the most frustrating lesson from my spiritual studies is that nothing new happens. On the contrary, the same stuff repeatedly happens but to different people.
When it’s happening to you, a quiet mind and calm emotions make accepting the experience matter-of-fact, not personal.
It’s just steps toward expressing who we are, why we’re here, and on a journey to where we’re going.
We fulfill Spiritual Purpose by quieting our minds and calming our emotions to discern who we’re attracting.
We see the path that fulfills why we incarnated this lifetime and take the next step accordingly with the knowledge that each subsequent step feels right and rings true.
My highest blessings.
