The United Metaphysical Churches (UMC) is a spiritual association that believes the phenomena of nature, both physical and spiritual, are expressions of Infinite Intelligence, or God. Their metaphysical theology holds that the universe and humankind are manifestations and reflections of the divine essence.

As a non-judgmental place of love, UMC provides a safe space for all people to explore their spirituality and supports everyone’s spiritual growth and development. They offer an educational program through their seminary for metaphysical students aspiring to become ministers. The seminary’s instructors bring their professional backgrounds and deep understanding of Divine Metaphysics to guide students.

UMC’s teachings are rooted in the spiritual truths recorded in the Bible and other sacred scriptures, as revealed in Jesus’ life and teachings. They view the Bible as a record of Hebrew law, drama, sacred history, poetry, philosophy, psychology, and religion. The church fathers’ early travels are believed to have influenced these teachings.

Spiritual healing is a central practice in UMC, where healers enter their own silence and meditation to raise consciousness, seek spiritual guidance, and tap into the spiritual plane. The seminary also maintains and promotes equal opportunities regardless of race, color, sexuality, age, religious background, or other factors.

Unique features include the seminary’s detailed application process, which involves submitting a background report and estimating the number of worship lectures and liturgies conducted. The UMC Seminary Forms demonstrate their commitment to serving intelligent, just, and compassionate religious and civic communities.

Under the leadership of Rev. Tija Hilton-Phillips, elected as President at the Annual Convention [13], UMC continues to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals seeking spiritual growth and connection within a metaphysical framework.
